Hi,
There are many ways to build a debian package. If you know command line then you can go ahead and use the terminal but if you just want to build a package without touching the underlying commands then you can use a GUI tool it's called Debian Package Maker.
You can build package Manually or directly from a Source.

I'm not really sure if this is what you need but then again you said you need help in building a debian package. Well I found a tool that creates a debian based package for you it's called "Debian Package Maker".

I think that's the reason why Linux/Unix developers created the Autotools, Makefiles etc.. So that the code/library dependencies will automatically be checked and linked against the appropriate library.
I'm not really sure but you can try to import all your C++ source codes in Anjuta and let anjuta generate the makefiles for you so that you can compile and check for that dependencies.Leave a comment:
