I am using dropdown lists. What I need is on the selection of one item in one dropdown list, the second dropdown list should get populated accordingly.
can anyone tell me how to do this in C# .net coding....

How to insert the date in DB using the dataset
Hi
I am trying to insert the data in the DB(sql server2005) using the dataset. I was trying to insert the data using the stored procedures.The problem is I am unable to insert the 'date' in the DB.
It shows an error as "Cannot convert from 'int' to 'System.DateTim e' ". plz anyone help me if u know the answer.

A casting error occured
I have created the Data access Logic component and when I execute the DALC an error occured like this "Cannot implicitly convert type 'x' to 'y'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?) "
This error occured while I was trying to insert the records in the DB through the DAL component.
plz help me if anyone know the solution for this. Reply me as soon as possible, its very urgent....

the back end is SQL server2005.
I have created the Stored procedures in sql and I want to access those SPs through DAL component.
For that I have added the dataset in C# website project, in that I have added the table from DB and connecting the DB by configuring the methods in the TableAdapter.

I have created the DALC using stored procedure but I was unable to execute it.

The error is like this "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Hi
I have created the DAL component using stored procedures but I am unable to insert,update and delete the records in the Database.
But retrieve is done as a whole and unable to retrieve a particular record using the Id.
No activity results to display
