This rundll32.exe trick doesn't seem to be working for windows 7. Does anyone know one that will? or I will post one if I find it.
Ah. Well, the rundll works in a pinch if you only need to support <= windows xp, but System.Diagnost ics.Process.Sta rt("http://www.thewnetwork .tk/") is what you typically want.

I've had good results using http://dotnetzip.codeplex.com/.
And another one is http://sevenzipsharp.codeplex.com/, which 7zip is my main zip utility. I haven't used its api yet.
I don't know about using winzip/winrar, but you would probably want a sdk's.
>= .NET 3.0 has .zip compression library built-in, if you have licensing issues. It's located in System.IO.Packa ging.
I think any choice you...Leave a comment:

The first thing I see is that (start_position + 12 + binary_size) will always be constant. Because of this,
Maybe you want:...Code:int binary_size = BitConverter.ToInt32(Buffer.Read(start_position + 8, 4), 0); if ((start_position + 12 + binary_size) <= Buffer.Length) { // Will always be true } else { // Will never be hit break; // break loop } // End ifLeave a comment:

Using a .ini file you have to modify doesn't seem helpful enough.
There was a time where you had to search the windows registry to find the location and application you wished to execute. But that was back with Win16 API for Windows 3.1. Otherwise, the only other choice was using an .ini file approach.
I don't believe that NT based Windows has these global .ini files like settings.ini around anymore. If they do, they are...Leave a comment:

Don't fill the same table twice. Make two separate DataTables. Then with the DataGridView? set dgv.DataSource = Table1, then when desired set dgv.DataSource = Table2.
I've had times where you also had to do dgv.Refresh(), but I don't think that is necessary here.
Please reply back if I have misinterpreted your question.Leave a comment:

Try installing Management Studio Express (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en) on the pc having the issues.
From there, you can try connecting to the database. It could be firewall restrictions preventing it from finding it. You can temporarily disable windows firewall to help detect this, and plug it into a location that you are sure can access the server....Leave a comment:

Does upgrading to .Net 2005 help? vs 2003 .net isn't supported anymore and is widely known as a failure.
I would have a .Net 1.1 legacy version, and .NET 2.0 version (at least 2.0) if this fixes the issue.
I also know things like the JET driver has been depreciated. So maybe something like that has been updated within the reporting framework to support Windows 7 by version 2.0. May have to try 3.5, too?Leave a comment:

qqeu, have you used environment variables before?
try:
But this still doesn't open the default web browser if it isn't IE, or IE is uninstalled (some versions of windows 7 don't come with it installed!).Code:Shell "$ProgramFiles\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE http://www.thewnetwork.tk", vbMaximizedFocus
Any ideas, qqeu? I'm assuming Shell("http://www.thewnetwork .tk/", vbNormalFocus)...Leave a comment:

I believe the command you are looking for is Shell and not Start?
Shell("http://www.thewnetwork .tk/", vbNormalFocus)
But ggeu had the right idea. IE isn't always located in the C drive either.Leave a comment:

C++ usually uses a two stage compiling process. One process compiles it into assembly, and then you can compile that file into a static library.
g++ -c hello.C
g++ hello.o -o hello
This is gnu MinGW (Windows)/gcc (Linux) solution.
If you are to view the hello.o, you can view the assembly.
Searching google or similar search engines for "microsoft visual studio c++ show assembly"...Leave a comment:

yes. It takes a plane, like a piece of paper with a box drawn on it, and calculates the angle pointing away from it.
It's a technology called Augmented Reality. If you have ever watched football, and you see the artificial lines they draw on the field, no matter how the camera moves, this is the same thing.
Except they are using it to follow the plane. Imagine it as if you had arrows shooting out of your eyes. Or lasers...Leave a comment:

I think looking into API/SDK/Framework advantages should be considered when choosing the language to design such a project.
I highly recommend looking into SDL or Allegro. Both are very easy to learn. But there is Java3D and XNA (Java and .NET respectively) that may be worth looking into.
artoolkit may also provide some good insight to detecting eye movement/trajectory. It could give you the vector each eye is looking...Leave a comment:

Impossible to hard lock Read-Write Locking
http://nohardlockrwlocker.codeplex.com/ is a read-write locker I recently designed so hard locks are impossible.
It is meant to replace ReaderWriterLoc k and ReaderWriterLoc kSlim. Upgrade locks are as simple as placing a write lock inside a read lock.
It will soon have collections which utilize this locker to cache modifications while enumerations occurs to it. Then after it completes, modifications are applied. This makes... -
I guess this is a specific question psuedo-related mssql and not sql itself. It would be helpful if someone could mention that questions like this may be off-topic (even something like a thumbs up/down to the effect of it being so--but just a quick idea/not necessary).
I didn't think about this when I first sent it, but I agree it isn't really relevant to be answered here. Even if it is a question regarding finding an alternative to...Leave a comment:

TamusJRoyce started a topic Alternatives to Query Notifications using .NET 3.5 and MS SQL 2005 Serverin SQL ServerAlternatives to Query Notifications using .NET 3.5 and MS SQL 2005 Server
I'm looking for some alternative methods to replace Query Notifications in a current application I am working on. I have so far been searching for Alternatives to Query Notifications, but I can't seem to find the results I need.
The reason is that my Application has grown to over 15 users while still needing to keep each clients synchronized with changes made to the server. I currently have a custom data layer performing caching...
