I have upgraded some of my projects (C++ & C#) from VS2005 to VS2008. I have noticed that all my executables have increased in size by about 50% in release mode.

I have examined project properties and cannot see what could cause this to happen. Even a simple "Hello World" console app compiles into a larger EXE in VS2008 compared with VS2005.

This is kind of important for frequently downloaded components....

I have been using Visual Studio 2005 on Vista for a number of months. I have observed the following problem and I am wondering if anyone else has come across as well.

You can start VS2005 with regular or admin privilages. Some applications (such as ASP.NET with IIS) require you to start it in admin mode. When running in admin mode, Vista blocks all script executions. So if you have javascript in your app, it won't run in the debugger....
