i'm trying to write a program for checking a large number of faxes (i'm using a 56k modem). the program will eventually run on the server.

i can detect a busy tone, or no line at all. but i can't tell apart from dialing to trying to connect to a fax and failing.

to detect errors i'm using a RAS dialer.

if i want to actually send a fax i'm using the FAXCOMLib.

i even tried using the mscomm....
