Thankyou,that all makes perfect sense..the only thing is that I have Vista with Int Ex 7 there is no refresh button....do I use F5? while holding down the CTRL key? In any case for the last few days Youtube has been OK....let's hope it stays like that!!

I understand your frustration everybody!! I was almost relived when I found this thread as I now know I am not the only one to experience this annoying problem....I don't know what to do.....sometime s youtube works fine.....someti mes the dreaded message 'Flash player, Java script turned of' appears and I cannot watch anything....I Have the latest flash player, Java is ON...what can I do?? I have tried to deactivate the Firewall...noth ing.....reinsta lled...
