I have a table on a form containing 2 columns - size type and size. Depending on the size type (Mens, womens, Youth) I want to change the set of sizes available (in an option box). I have been able to do this (in Mozilla - haven't tested in IE yet) for a single row, and have been able to set the size list for an indexed row but cannot figure out how to tell on which row the size type has been changed.

No I am not any the wiser - I had read all of that - through other sources. The insert of HTTP_REFERER into the HEAD was just another attempt to make it work - you have confirmed what I thought - that the variable is set (or not set) by the method of getting there - not by a specific setting in the calling program.
Yes I generated it with a Perl script using CGI? and a post rather than a get.

Passing 2 dimensional array through CGI Post
I have a HTML form with a table to receive info about 6 persons. The information received is name, age, and 3 events - short, middle, and long.
