    JSF pages - pressing a button first calls the constructor

    Hello,
    I 'm making my first JSF page using jdeveloper. The problem i'm facing is that every time i press a button for which i have an action method, the constructor is called first. I only want the constructor to be called at the beginning of the application.

    Any help would be highly appreciated.

          Yes i want this in VB. NET.
          Thanks for the link. The items 'ClientScript' AND 'StringBuilder' are being underlined blue (ClientScript is not declared and stringBuilder is not defined)

          Which class do i need to import to fix this?

                  I have a weird problem. I have a table which i have defined as follows:

                  Public Shared Table1 As System.Web.UI.W ebControls.Tabl e


                  Everytime i compile or close the VS.NET, it changes it back to the following:

                  Protected WithEvents Table1 As System.Web.UI.W ebControls.Tabl e


                  Everytime i compile, i have to change this as well.

                  Any help?

                        Thanks for your reply. Okay by setting the style property it does change the location of the table but cant i do it by moving the table object in the design view? I have to add other objects on the form so it would be tedious to change the style property all the time.

                                    I 'm getting the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." when i 'm trying to add something in the listbox. I was first inserting data retrieved from Oracle but then i tried with just a hardcoded string and still its giving the same error. Also, when i store the data in a string variable, it works but their are multiple records returning from the sql query which i want to add in the list.

                                        This is also not that easy.

                                        I have put a datagrid on my web form.

                                        I typed the following like i do for listview in windows form:

                                        It highlights it and tool tip says "overload resolution failed because no accessible new accepts this number of arguments"
