Figured it out, to set the what I want, I must set the Form's icon property. -
After a little more poking around, I've discovered that I am setting the executable's icon but not the icon displayed in the window. Any body know how to do that? I must have known at one point......Leave a comment:

After playing around some more, I've noticed that when I change the icon selection as described above nothing actually happens. No matter what I set the icon to, the original 16x16 icon I selected remains the icon. Even if I select (default). Any body have a guess what is going on here?
Since I am not actually changing the icon, I have not been trying the 32x32 icon as I thought. (they look the same, so tough to tell.)

Custom Icon not displaying in Task Switcher
I am using VB.Net with Visual Studio 2005 to create an application. I set the application's icon by:
1. Clicking on the project.
2. Selecting View >> Property Pages.
3. Selecting the Application page.
4. Selecting <browse> from the "Icon" drop-down menu.
5. Selecting the .ico file I created using an third-party tool.
