After I re-build my indexes I am now having problems/ reports are now taking time in spooling and also in forms to populate LOV its also taking time and freezes other processes running.
WHAT CAN be the cause and how do I solve this problem.

System freezes
After I recreated my database the system is now freezing .. when a number of users connect with 2 or 3 it works OK. What can cause that. -
NO error message is being shown... -
Hanging of select statements/Forms & Procedures
I purged my database and rebuild indexes. The system has started hanging/freezing. Some Forms are not working & some select statement & Procedures are also not running. All these were OK before. On error messages are coming. What can be the cause and Solution . Using Oracle 8. Have tested with Database tools , the system hangs if you highlight some the procedures. These procedures compile well thru SQL Plus. !!Pliz help !!!! -

I have checked the tnsnames.ora its correct. I even copied tnsnames.ora from DB folder but still getting same error?
I also tnsping on db folder its ok but I am getting error on developer folder. How also do I trace which tnsname.ora is being used by developer?? . Tried strace and trcroute??? where I am going wrong and how do I use them are they compatable with 8i??...Leave a comment:

I have installed Oracle 8i Db and Developer 2000 on Win XP
Developer 2000 in a different oracle home. When I try to connect Developer to Oracle, I get the error "TNS could not resolve." Please provide a solution. -

I tried using SQL Net Easy Configuration and Also changed tnsnames.ora
but I am getting error "invalid or unknown NLS parameter value specified" when connecting to SQL PLUS 3.3 or Forms
