    I have figured out the problem, i believe. The Express version won't give me the tools and access needed to connect remotely from the server that I am attempting to use it on, I got SQL Server full edition and it worked.

      SQL Express hiding

      I have created a database using Express on a production machine. I am attempting to ODBC to it, but can't. I've tried every combination I can think of to get to it and it's not working. Does anyone know, do I need the full version of SQL to do this, or am I missing something?
