Renaming Zip File
Hello everyone,
In my application i am uploading a Zip file called 'registration.z ip' .For the first time the file is uploading with no issues.Again if i rename the same 'test1.zip' file to 'test2.zip' and try to upload, its throwing an exception error.But that .zip file is valid and can be unzipped.I am using rubyzip gem to upload zip file.
I want to know whether its an error or not and how to handle this problem. -

Thanks.I can get all the filename inside the directory by using Dir[path].But can you tell me please how can i read all the filenames inside and compare it with filename i want and display an error message if it is not present in the directory.Its urgent....Leave a comment:

Validation of excel file in Ruby
Hello all,
My problem is, for uploading an excel file(.xls file), if i change .txt or any other format file into .xls file, i should be able to handle this and display an error message saying "file selected is not a format" in ruby.Or is there any way that can be done through javascript.Plea se help me.Its urgent.

Check Box Problem
Hello all,
My problem,i have written a javascript to check whether the checkboxes are checked or not.If its not checked,i will get an alert message,if i checked then say it is checked.This condition is working for more than one data.If there is only one data and if i check that also,i am gettin an alert message and says its not checked.Please help me to solve this.

My problem is, i am uploading a zipped file and extracting the contents and saving in a directory.How can i check whether the uploading zipped file contains only .swf files inside, before or after extraction.Plea se help how can i do this? Its urgent.

I have generated ruby reports for my application.For html display of report,i have to use next,previous links for navigation.I need to have 10 records per page.And when click on next link,i should be able to retrieve the next 10 records.For retreiving records, i have used find_by_sql query.By this i can limit the records,but displaying other records in next page,i am not able to do.

Deleting all tmp files (session,cookies,cache) in ruby
Hello,
For my ruby on rails application,i need to delete all the temporary files created in /tmp folder.If those files increases, at some point in time, my application stops working unless i delete all session files manually.Is there any way, so that i can keep on deleting those files from the folder automatically or somehow.Please help if anyone knows.Its urgent.

Ruby Reports
Hello,
I am referring the link below for creating the ruby reports.For creation of report_table, query is used for selecting only particular table.If i query the report_table, am getting error as "undefined method slice! for Hash".
Ex:

Query on observe form and rjs
I have 3 fields project,type,pr ogram .Program should be enable only if
type=1(some predef value)but program values should be based on project
values.I tried to use observe form and rjs.I could not find the

Take one example where there will be 2 combo boxes. One for the project and another one for types. I have used observe field for types combo box which observes project field and updates div of types. Now i need to observe types field using observe field(should consider both project and types values) and update a div without using any submit button.How can i do this. Please help me out.
