The hp program you recommend does scan and find printers with ip address like we want. However, it takes ~20 mins to install. So this is not a good option for us. -
oddly enough your post is the first I've heard of hp web jetadmin, despite my seemlingly endless search. I'll give it a try, but we really want/need something that doesn't have to be installed and can be run from say, a flash drive.Leave a comment:

the problem I've run into is that most of the reading I've done has lead me to scanning/mapping/installing/removing printers that are connected to a machine. Like that book. I know of a few asset management software that gets the info of print servers but doesn't get the other info we need or lacks some other feature...Leave a comment:
