Sorry I don't have the time right now to go into details, but you could also use a RECORDSET and a little VB code to do this, instead of a complicated query.

Make sure you have your date format set properly in Windows as well (Control Panel). Even though Access will DISPLAY dates in the format you specify, it will sometimes ACCEPT them however Windows is formatted. Also, if you're still having problems, instead of changing the FORMAT property, set yourself up an INPUT MASK.
