      I want to get the value of the tag like catalog, cd, or title, artist in this example. Not the values present inside a tag as Empire Burlesque.
      i have tried with
      value-of select="local-name(catalog/cd/*)" in the XSL for a XML file

      <catalog>
      <cd>
      <title>Empire Burlesque</title>
      <artist>Bob Dylan</artist>
      <country>USA</country>...

        How to extract a tag value

        Hi

        I have a XML code. Can anyone suggest me as to how i can extract the value of a particular tag like
        <Root>
        <Title>
        <Cost> 100 </Cost>
        </Title>
        </Root>

        I want to extract the term "Cost" from this not the value of cost. Any help??
