what should i go through to do this.....or in short can anyone guide me like psedocde for this......
It is like web searching for given key words called query ,then stores the list of url....
so, what concept in perl should i know to do it....is it like cgi.....i went thr gogle..i could'nt figure out exactly....

Hi folks,
I am new to perl and fighting to get something.
I want to list all dirs from c:/perl
perl dir has some dirs which have ini files.
Then I want to list all ini files under all dirs of perl folder
now I want to make some substitutions in those all ini files....
I have almost coded . but some logical bugs....

Hi,
How to Find ,if already a environment variable is set in hash table in perl.
Actually i want to check if a environmental variable in perl script, which is present in oracle database has been already set its path in hash table in perl.
that is i have to query the database server and check whether it has been set as environment variable or not.
so basically i want to check with if... -

Ok, So if i have some requirement i perl for automation . It means I should just write the logic for a particular process....like for example snapshot process in my case...so then the script is taken care by schedular to run that file at particular time....am I correct.....So I would like to know any online perl materials is there to understand logic how to start writing a perl script...Leave a comment:

first of thanks a lot for reply. I am using solaris box. I hv to write a perl script for automation of snapshot process and call this using shell script. I would appreciate if you can help me out sending some online links for automation - for perl scripts.......s o as per my understanding. the automation is done by shell script in case of unix. and the logic is in perl script...is that correct....
