Got it now.
In fact, I'm already working with a borderless form with no background, however I didn't think about creating others forms for the extra items... That way It definitely can be set its transparency (fading in/out)...
Thanks for clear up my mind. Have a nice day.

I know that... I thing I'm not being clear enough here.
Let me change my question them... How to make some animated effects in C#?
If you watch the movie in the first post, at 0:45, you'll notice the weather docklet working. When the mouse hover it for a while, it shows 5 items (upcoming days).
Those items have some sorta of easing/motion effect (it goes straight up and them unfold other 4 items) and that is what I'd like...Leave a comment:

That dock was meant to be a copy, just like we have Vista alike apps in XP.
But what about the weather docklet? Any tip about how to achieve anything like that in C# (hover the mouse over an icon and then make it reveal another 5 items using motion)?Leave a comment:

Display hidden items with animation (easing/scrolling).
Does anyone knows how to display hidden items using easing/scrolling animation (can also be a component)?
Similar to the one use in the Weather docklet in ObjectDock (the video shows the 5-days being displayed the way I'd like to do)?
Thanks in advanced. -

Just to post a feedback here.
Wrote a small sample app in C# VS 2008 Express and tried the extension method. It worked fine, except that, to keep this functionality, anyone using my library would need to work with 2008 as well.
I think it can't be done in 2.0.
Anyway, thanks everyone who posted here, got a great support from you guys.Leave a comment:

I'm writing a .dll so I'm trying to make things easier for those who will use it. Of course it can be done like
string a = MyMethod(someth ing), but having something similar to ToString() is way better (IMO).
I'll try this C# 2008 Express to see how it works... The link Shashi gave is what I was looking for, except for the 2008 version. But it's not a big issue....Leave a comment:

It works only when creating a project using the new VS 2008 and targeting the 2.0 (I'm still using VS 2005).
I'll download the C# 2008 Express Edition and see how my library works.
Thanks a lot for this link Shashi....Leave a comment:

Thanks for your reply jjvainav. But this is how I'm currently doing it.
I'm looking for something like this:
http://weblogs.asp.net/dwahlin/archi...n-methods.aspx
But for C# 2.0.
If you look the first example
[code=c]using StringExtension s;
....
string phone = "123-123-1234";
string newPhone = phone.RemoveNon Numeric();//...Leave a comment:

I dont wanna to override the ToString method... it was just an example.
[Edit]
It should be something like
Can that be done?Code:int a = 10; string b = "test"; public MyMethod(){ // get the object and add 1; } string output1 = a.MyMethod(); // 101 string output2 = b.MyMethod(); // test1
Thanks SammyB for your...Leave a comment:

Creating a method in C# (2.0)
How can I create a method in C# that behaves like the String.ToString ()?
I know (or at least I think I do) need to extend or create a new class, but I don't know how to retrieve the object value before the .ToString().
Something like I used to do in ActionScripts a few years ago...
Then I'd use just like... myClip.MyFuncti on();...Code:MovieClip.prototype.MyFunction(){ trace (this.name); } -

Retrieve node with XSLT
Lets just say I have this xml dynamically generated.
itemA will always be present, but itemB not. And since Im gathering the data somewhere else,...Code:<test> <itemA> <item>084</item> </itemA> <itemA> <item>085</item> </itemA> <itemB> <item>100</item> </itemB> </test>
