You can do much better than regular obfuscation by using encryption with a tool like Assembly Lockbox (http://alb.gibwo.com) -
You can either use .Net 2.0 built in web.config encryption or you can use a tool like Assembly Lockbox ( http://alb.gibwo.com ) to encrypt the entire dll that your code is in... that will protect the connection string and all the other code as well.Leave a comment:

Go check out Assembly Lockbox at http://alb.gibwo.com
it encrypts any dll you want and loads that dll out of an encrypted file when the CLR asks it to.Leave a comment:
