Yes, that is what I'm trying to do right now. Do you think that's smart, or do you think I should try to find a way to get it all in one given that these calculations operate on the same set of pricing, targeting, and correlating tables with just different data inputs?
I know that's not a lot to go on for a question like that. I guess what I'm asking more generally is: knowing that I have information in both tables and queries...

Displaying fields from a query in one database in a query in another
I am using Access 2000 in Windows XP.
I am designing a database that needs to have YTD calculations based on values from previous months. The problem is that these values are calculated in queries in that particular months' database.
I have experimented with simply importing what I need as a table and then querying the value in that table. While this would work and it is what I will do if I can't figure out an alternative,... -

Thank you so much! Such a stupid mistake, but I might have been able to look at it forever without catching it.Leave a comment:

New Data Not Carried Through All Queries
Hi. I am working in Access 2000 in Windows XP.
The problem I am having is very strange. My database has many tables and queries, but the relevant ones here are Pricing and Targets (table), Calculated Values by Product Group (query), and Savings Calculations (query). The Savings Calculations query is really the one causing trouble. I will include its SQL code here:
Code:SELECT [Pricing and Targets].Plant, [Product

No Unique Field to Identify Records
I am working with Access 2000 in Windows XP.
I am putting together a table describing a pricing structure for product groups. A single product group, however, can have different prices (per lb) depending on what plant they are from. Despite the somewhat nonsensical nature of this pricing structure, it is what I must work with.
So basically the situation is that I am trying to put together a table whose records'... -
Thank you so much! This has been a great help for me in understanding!Leave a comment:

That makes a lot more sense now.
So are you recommending that I just go ahead and break it up into different queries: one totals query for aggregating and one regular query to calculate price?...Leave a comment:

Additional Join in Query Results in Miscalculation
Hi, I am a chemical engineer trying to design a database and I am running into some trouble.
My database is going to be 'processing' raw data to get the figures we need to prepare the monthly reports. I am given data broken down by blends, plant that they are produced in, and amount, Adj Good Kgs. Each Blend belongs to a Product Group which in turn belongs to a Business Unit (the Business Units don't really come into my question...
