      Copying table from Access db to another Access db

      I have 2 databases DB#1 abd DB#2. I have TableA in DB#1 which needs to be copied in DB#2 but while doing this I need to change the field#1 which is currently of data type text.

      Steps taken:

      1. Created Macros with Action:Transfer Database which helps me in copying the table from DB#1 to DB#2.
      2. One of the fields in TableA has data type Text and values like 0040141699, now when I transfer TableA in DB#2 I want 00...

        Mine is not saved in a server. Its in a shared folder which can be accessed by others as well. Is there a way I can stop this from happening

          Hi All,

          I have saved the database in the common folder to allow multiple users to access forms which will update the table.

          We did testing and were able to open the form and fill in details but when we tried to save the changes it gave us an error message " Changes cannot be saved as another user is also using the database. For saving changes you must have exclusive rights"

          We closed the database...

                I have one more question: Can an executable file be created and installed on the users PCs. I basically want to do this because I dont want my users to access forms thriugh the database.

                Also can I add a calendar button to the date fileds in my form

                  I am very new to access. I have created a database in MS Access and few tables need to be updated based on the information that is going to be filled in by users. Here is what I have done.

                  1. Created tables in database
