alternatively you can mail the entire in HTML format so you just need to add [HTML]<br/>[/HTML] after every line.

I dont think PERL can be compiled. There are some programs that convert PERL scripts to EXE's. Other than that to me PERL is an interpreter.
perl scipt.pl
./script.pl (on *nix with #! /usr/bin/perl on top and proper permissions)

Loggin into orkut is much more than simply providing username and password. They have made it much more complex so that scripts cannot sign in easily. Here are the steps when loggin in. here is a perl script I made to login to orkut. I guess you can translate it into python etc...

2. Check whether the title is Home.
