      PostgreSQL and OleDb

      Hi, I'm pretty new with Postgre. So far I've managed to create databases, functions, etc and access them from Windows applications written in C# via Odbc and Npgsql. I am requested to use OleDb, so I got hold of this provider. I registered the dll and can actually create the connection, but when I try to open it I get an exception saying 'invalid command-line arguments for server process'. I enabled logging and got the whole error message.

        I asked a friend and he gave me the solution: I had to include 2 merge modules in the installer: Database_Access .msm and vfpoledb.msm.

        I hope it helps anyone else with my problem :)

          VFPOLEDB only works for admins?

          Hi,

          I have an WinForms application that reads data from a dbf file. I have installed the VFPOLEDB.1 provider and the app worked fine in my developement computer, for which I have administrative rights.

          Then I installed it in 2 computers for 2 different users: one of them has admin rights and had no problems, but the other is a normal user and got a "The 'VFPOLEDB.1' provider is not registered on the local machine"...
