thanks alot plater...i think this will work just great -
Plater,
This idea is one that I've definitely had but not sure how to implement. Do you have any idea to access the processes (like Task Manager), see if it is running or not and if not relaunch the app?
I'll try putting smaller try/catches too.
Thanks again

Its not installed as a windows service, just a console application I want to have constantly running. I definitely do want to try to avoid these exceptions but in the mean time would like to find the best practice on how to do this.
When I catch the error, I try to create a new instance of the class but it doesn't start correctly. Could you tell me the best way to re-instantiate the object? The catch is made at the end of the code......Leave a comment:

Resource Monitor/ relaunching an application that crashed
Hi all,
I am writing a proxy server in C# and it crashes (fairly) often. I have my code in a try catch block and I catch all the types of exceptions it throws. But I am looking for a clever way to relaunch the program when this happens as it dies.
It is a C# Console Application in .NET 2005.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks alot,

setting NetworkInterface info c#
Hi all,
I am working on a custom Proxy Server in C# that can make HttpWebRequests / Responses via
two Network Interfaces (one wired, one wifi). I think there are three general approaches to this:
1)give up on HttpWebRequests , use Sockets/TcpClients and bind my own socket to each interface
2)Find a way to gain access to changing System.Net.Netw orkInformation. NetworkInterfac e objects

IE Browser Proxy issue - NetworkStream HTML Images
Hi all, I have a real bugger of a problem that I just haven't been able to figure
out. I am working on writing my own proxy server in C# using TcpListener,
TcpClient, HttpWebRequest/Response and NetworkStream. I have everything
working pretty well except images won't load to their location.
