Yes there is an index on XXXX041 defined on the fields P_MJR_IT_CD_ID and EVNT_TS on the table and in that order. i did do a RUNSTATS but thats not helping..i don understand why..?Leave a comment:

I am new to mainframes and not able to do much with this issue.. can someone please help me out..
I have a job in which 2 programs take about 5 hours to run taking up 30 mins of CPU time.
in program A i have a query something like this
