you mean , the bar code readings can be sent to my php program
using the function
trim(fgets(STDI N));
using the above function which is used for handle key board inputs
or is there any other built in functions to be used.

online library system
i suppose build a online library management system as my final year project using php.
at the lending process of the system the books are scanned data are tranfered to9 the data base? how can i achieve that.is that possible to incoporate other languages to achieve it -
no i did not use any jar file,but instaed i copied the class file and tried to execute it via the "java "command.wh en i run the code nothing happened, at least no any sign of errors or whether the execution of the code or not.Leave a comment:

Runtime.exec()
i have written a simple java program using a Runtime.exec() .i was able to run my java program in the pc which i used to compiled the code.but when i migrate my program in to an another machine having the same OS(windows XP),my code did not worked .there was not any signs of execution of my code.why this was occured .explain me. -
executable jar files at startup
i have created simple executable jar file and coppied it to the
C:\Documents and Settings\...... ..\Start Menu\Programs\S tartup,expectin g that my program may run at the starting up of the windows.
but following error massage appeared.
Java Virtual machine Launcher!
could not find the main class .program will exit.

system monitoring application
for the final year project i have choosen to built an application which will monitor who have logeed to the machine within a specified period of time.A seperate database system is also included to record the users,and their logon and logoff time,date . i decided to proceed with java since i am more familier with java.problem is is that possible to allow to be run a java application when some one startup the machine.more over i expect some guide... -

i want include some functionality of the OS ,such as starting and shutting down and taking a screen shot, in to my application.Is that possible in java .where can i find some guidance on this issue.Is calling windows API in a java class solve this.
