      Test an url stream

      Hello,

      i'm currently writing a program that manages and streams webTvs from internet (protocol : mms for the most part of all). The program is vlc-based and i would want to test webtvs' url before using them within VLC. How could i test the availability of webtvs ?

      Sometimes, VLC doesn't quit when the stream isn't available, I want to prevent this kind of problems.
