Compress files, buy another hard drive, delete more files, clear your recycle bin, clear your cache and temporary files.

install the treesize program and run it ont he drive that is having the issue it will show the which folders and files that are taking up the most space. That does not mean you could delete it but it should give you ideas what is consuming the space. Also do what the person said above in the first reply then check your profile temp dirs that usually creattes alot of logs which are sometimes not cleared.

Thanks, I've done all that and my problems is all the service pack updates for XP taking up the space.

You've done all that? So you've bought a new hard drive then? You've compressed your files?

I have an external drive with everything on it but the operating system and what it needs to function. I have nothing else to move or delete. Files compressed. The updates and service packs for XP are killing me.

Image the drive onto a larger drive and use that.
