    Need some help with spyware

My Windows started showing prompt command windows with explorer.exe on the title months ago, I searched for it, but couldn't find anything, it always appears 3 cmd windows on the desktop, they appear, roll a lot of lines, then disappear, it's so fast that you cant even print screen them, that happens when the windows is loading the explorer application, you know, loading drivers, background softwares, while the desktop can be seen but not used, the ordinary windows start up.

I never saw those windows in other version of Windows, I'm using XP portable.

    Is that Spyware?

I have spy bot search and destroy, but it appears to work with cookies only, and antivirus wont caught anything like.

I've heard of softwares that can be installed on pc by using the install shield, they are normal apps, but they can be used to monitor what people do and talk, such as IM conversations.

I dont use windows Login because in home I'm the only one who uses my laptop. Maybe when I hung out and went a place like a business place, someone installed one of those spywares on my pc while I was away.

Anyway, is there a software that can find spywares that are not cookies, but simple windows apps?

I would highly recommend you download and install Microsoft Security Essentials. It is an excellent package from MS that will search out and destroy these types of things. If it can't find it I would be surprised.

    Regards,

    Jeff

Go and download combofix , and run under save mode If there is a malware or spy ware it will find it.

Check your msconfig settings. There's likely a program/script that's starting that shouldn't be there. I regularly go through my msconfig and disable anything I don't want starting up when my computer boots up.

About that window that was appearing, I localized the app and deleted it.
