    Hi Dipen Mehta!

    Try using msg. Just type
    msg <username> <message>
and the message should pop up.

    Greetings,

Windows 7 doesn't have a messenger service (Microsoft left it out)
to recieve net send messages in win7 use winnosent software it works for the recieving on win7 (from xp to win7) and send.exe for the sending from win 7 to xp ,
      Attached Files

to send from win 7 to xp open the command prompt and naficate to the send.exe file type send.exe /? it will show you how to use the send.exe software
I think it works as follow send.exe "message" \\(pc name)

You could try a program called Screen Popup 3.00. We use it on our Windows 7 PCs, and it also works on Windows XP.

It looks nicer than net send - can be a little fiddly to setup, but once it's working it's a dream.

            It's freeware so no cost.
