How to Delete an active desktop window in XP Home?

I was making a shotcut for my mom to her e-mail, (on comcast), and when pasting it to her desktop, it said do you want to add an active desktop item. I said yes, Now there is a window on her desktop that I can not remove that says:
"This content cannot be desplayed in a frame
To help protect the security of information you enter into this websitw, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.
    What you can try:
Open this content in a new window"
How do I get rid of this?
    Please help,
    Sherbear

To disable the Active Desktop window:

To solve your issue for your mom, probably want to just create a shortcut to the email program/link. To do so, just right click on the desktop and select "New" then click "Shortcut". It will walk you through the wizard to create a new shortcut for the email item.

If the link is supposed to direct her to a website, put the URL in the box with "browse" next to it.
