I get that error message everytime i try to play freedom force vs 3rd reich game its not that much of an older game and i'm trying to play it on my vista laptop please help

That's a pretty unspecific error you have there.
Update Windows, update your drivers, and maybe reinstall Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (the thing giving the error).
If that doesn't help, you could post some more information on that laptop here, maybe that will give a better view on what the problem is.
