    How to find the Changes made to my computer by other users.

    Hello,
    I want to know which user logged in my computer & what they did using system? For example;
    Full log details of CD Burning
    Copy/Move folder or files
    & so on.


    What to do for this..? or which software need to get all these details.
    Please send me the answer.

      I find this a very difficult question to answer - not because I don't KNOW the answer, but because such knowledge can easily be misused. The method I would recommend is to just give any other user very limited rights, so they cannot do anything they shouldn't. If you really want to "spy" on them, Google will surely provide answers as to what software you can use.

          I suspect the OP is less after anything dodgy or security related, but rather after being able to ensure that other users on a PC they have responsibility for are not either abusing their access or mucking things up accidentally through ignorance.

          There are various logs you will find in the Event Viewer (Administrative Tools). I couldn't find where to set which events are logged. Most are application related, but what you need is OS related I'm sure. I had a quick google around (found nothing), but I seem to recall there are settings somewhere so you can set it to log more such events (file events etc.) than the default. May be worth spending more time than I have available to look for something on those lines.

              Well, if they shouldn't be able to muck up things, they shouldn't have administrative rights. (I know, in Windows versions prior to Vista, the norm is that they do and it's good that they changed that.)

              My thought was using a third party program to do so, but all of these programs can be misused, so I'll not post any names or links here. Google will find you such software with the right phrases though. I'm not sure how much the Event Viewer can log as I've never used it. But this article should help you if you choose to investigate that method.

                  Event viewer

                  Well, you can find some of those things in Event Viewer. Here's How to get there.
                  Go to the Control Panel (Start>Control Panel), then Switch to Classic View. After that, Find "Administra tive Tools" and double click. Hit Event Viewer. In there you can find out all kinds of stuff.

                      More help

                      You can also do the following if you don't want them "Messing" around in your stuff:

                      Go to the specific files and/or folders that you do NOT want them messing around in and right click and hit propreties. then go to security tab and find their account name. Then on the bottom, uncheck th ethings that you do not want them to do.
