    Setting Hotkey for an Application

Hi, is it possible to set a hotkey for an application by doing some registry changes in Win XP or Vista??
For example if i press Ctrl+Shift+E i want MS Excel to open..something like that.

Find the shortcut to your application in your startmenu and right click on it. If it's not in your start menu do a "copy / paste shortcut" of the program executable to create a shortcut. Right click on your new shortcut.

Select properties and then click or tab into the Shortcut Key: field. Press the key that you want to use for the shortcut and then click apply.

Thats all there is to it.
