    Countries from registry in Windows Server 2008

    Hi All,

    how can i get list of countries from Windows Server 2008 registry? Or is there any alternative way in Windows Server 2008?

    Hi,

    Not too sure what method you are looking for to get countries list from Windows 2008 Server registry.

    SOFTWARE\Micros oft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Tel ephony\Country List\

    The registry key above has the list of countries you need.

    If you want to retrieve this list programmaticall y, click here for example code written in C# and C++

      No you're not right.
      This is applicable only on Windows XP, Windows Server 2008 and maybe older versions. But this registry key in Vista and Server 2008 does not exist.

        No, read this:

        It is still in the same registry location, however that registry location does not get created until somone has set up their location. Go to control panel and open Phone and Modem Options. After going through that you'll find that Country List is now in the registry.
