Hey,
In my office ive got a computer that is giving me issues.
There is a network drive on an XP SP3 machine sharing several Excel 03 documents. when the vista machine connects through the shared folder and opens what seems to be most (not all) the spreadsheets i get a nasty BSOD with 0x35 (IRP_STACK)
As far as i can tell this derives from several possibilities. one being bad memory because of vistas randomization of memory usage. to knock this out i used a memory tester to check the memory. no error
second i have also read this is a driver issue. if this is true im not really sure where to even look, i know its not excel because it opens other shared spreadsheets (albeit smaller in size)
lets hear some educated guesses people :-)
my thought is it has to be the vista rig because none of the other machines have a problem with the shared documents
not networking hardware interfering (reason above)
not vista machines excel as it operates in a local and shared environment otherwise
