registry error

hi friends

i have problem in booting of my windows. when i start my system it checks with the F drive it takes some time check. so what i did is that in the command prompt i wrote a command chkntfs /X F: . After this it did not check the F drive while booting but am getting new error after boot up amov.exe is not able to read from the registry. bcoz of this error am not able to use yahoo messanger. After giving my user id and password it vanishes. So i formatted the whole system even after that it shows the same error. plz help to solve this error.

i would recommand setting it back to the defaults

chkntfs /D

restart the computer, it should do a scan when you restart, let it run. when its done windows will bootup....let it. once its done restart the computer again.

this time it shouldn't scan your drive for errors (unless you have it set to scan at certain times) windows should load and everything should be fine.
