    Can not boot from cd

    Hi all,

My computer cannot boot from cd. I want to format my all drives, but when I insert CD in the DVD drive & restart my computer, it will restart without booting from CD & it not shows the comand " Press any key to boot from CD".

My first boot device is DVD Drive H: (LG 16X) ,

    2nd is DVD-RAM Drive I: (ASUS DVD Writer-SATA),

    3rd is flopy disc drive A: .

And I allready change all this 3 drive betwen there place, but no result.

Hard disc is 80 GB 7200 RPM Hitachi Sata.
Motherbord Asus 865 Intel Chipset, Ram 768 MB (256+512 MB)

And i have no flopy disc drive although it is show in my computer.

Currently I install the DVD-RAM Drive I: (ASUS DVD Writer-SATA) & 512 MB Ram in my computer.

So please give me the Suggestion what wil i do.
    Please

    Witrh Best regards,
    Monirul.

You probably need to go into BIOS and set the CD drive as bootable.

I can't see your harddrive anywhere - do you set that separately? Some BIOSes have a setting "Harddrives <-> Other devices", where you can set the boot sequence too.

In that case, you can deactivate the floppy drive in the BIOS. That's your choice.
