Remove item from folder shortcut menu box

    Hi all,
when we right click on a folder, a menu box is open , where is show " Open, Explore, Search, Send to, Cut, Copy etc" . And if we install a program , this program item will be shown in this box.

I delete this program but it still show in the box ( like Antivirous or Media playre)

Now I want to remove this kind of item in this menu box . Is it possible.

    Because those is getting longer.

a registry edit will do the trick, go inside the registry to this location:

    Code:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
delete only the keys of the programs you've uninstalled.

**be very very careful inside the registry!!

    good luck

Try looking at the entries in
        Code:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell

How about searching the registry for the entries you have? They have to be somewhere. Find the path, that includes those entries and delete them. (Back them up before, as you're editing the registry!)

Yes I found that , and im trying to delet this but i couldn't delet it ( Protector Plus , Anti virus).

              I found that this way,

              HKEY_LOCAL_MACH INE > SYSTEM > ControlSet001 > Enum > Root >

              LEGACY_PRDRV > 0000.

              Value Name - DeviceDesc
Value Data - Protector Plus Driver (UnRegistered)

when Im trying to delet this value or value data, showing a box - unable to delet all specified values , & prevent to edit this value data.

Beside this value name there are many value name in 0000 - ( Default), Capabilities,Cl ass, ClassGUID, ConfigFlags, DeviceDesc,Driver , Legacy, Service.

Im trying to delet only the DeviceDesc value Name & valu data.

And one thing this program option showing only the menu box when I right click on Drives(C:\, D:,E:,F:G:), not any folder or files.

              Grettings,
              Monirul.
