    Bootable External Hard Disk

    Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A25 - S207. The internal hard disk has just crashed. I do not want to change the hard disk since its very expensive. So, is it possible to boot using an external hard disk connected through USB? Please help , i am in a real messy situation.

The cheapest thing is to make a bootable CD. My favorite is ubcd4win.

I should mention that I doubt that your current hard disk will be much use to you any more. And at $48 to $112, I don't think that an external would save you any money. But here is the official line on booting Windows from USB.

Did you harddrive cease up, or are you just having boot problems?
