Perhaps you have changed your login to a limited account (a good security precaution). If so, there will still be one administrator account that you may use (Windows won't let you delete are limit the last administrator account).

Your answer is good however even if it was a limited account the user would still be able to view "in the start > all programs" area and that apps folder... Could still see the remove ICON...

and if you can get into the add/remove I do not believe you are on a limited account. I would suggest downloading and updating "Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 "

if you have any kind of ad-ware or trojan registry changes this will take care of you.

If your issue keeps its cool let us know I have some other thoughts up my sleeves

I really like your answer. But I was thinking that the current account in question may not be the account that programs were installed with AND those programs were not installed as "for all users". Of course, it's all just conjecture until the OP replies - but it is a good academic discussion.

Actaully your right I didnt think about that.. Because I never install anything JUST FOR ME... I tend to think people use that point.less feature... then again I bet I will like it one day when I have kids on my PC... but then again I think that will always be POINT.LESS to me because even my GF knows not to TOUCH my computers LOL

Thus my kids wont either hahaha
