    how to share internet connection besides Windows ICS

    Sir,
    how can i share internet connection in windows xp, my connection keeps
    going off any time i restart the system

    Yes. That is the problem with using Internet Connection Sharing on Windows - "client" machines will loose their connection when the connected machine get turned off. The best solution - and not too expensive - is to get a router. It's fairly easy to get a router plugged in and talking to your modem. After that, plug in each computer to the router and everybody is happy no matter which computer is on or off.

    The brand that I like because it works well and is cheaper that some others is D-link. A 4-port model may be less that $40 US and is very easy to install.

      I agree with bartonc i am using a rotour rigt know. Its easy to use, Our family has got 1 wireless and 4 local lan (family of 6, Sister hasnt got a computer) its got a built in firewall and is cheap also it only disconects you when you turn the router or moderm of.
