What do you mean by "everything ". We would want to suggest something that you have already tried.

    Thanks.

This could be something other than a virus...possibl y spyware or adware or another kind of malware. One application you may want to try is Ad Aware SE

Ad Aware SE is pretty easy to install and update.

You can download it from www.majorgeeks. com, copy it to the machine in question, run the install, update, and scan for problems.

            -Best of Luck,

              Hi,

if you could supply us with a bit more information regarding your computer setup we can help you a lot more! At least answer the following:

Hardware Setup (your PC's hardware) / Operating System (Windows ?) / Anti virus Installed?

Here is something for you to try in the meanwhile:

If you cannot afford to buy an antivirus program, I am assuming this as you did not mention your AV program, you have three options (combine the first two if you want for better results):

              You can

              - scan your computer online by using for instance Trend Micro Housecall . It will give you detailed information on the viruses/spyware on your computer and hopefully guide you through the steps necessary to remove the virus

              - download AVG Free Antivirus, which as the name suggests is a free Antivirus. Don't expect a lot as it is FREE and so not the best out there....

              - Format your computer! Backup any important files, if you suspect them being infected the best thing to do is to compress them so as to actually 'isolate' the virus. Use Winrar to compress the files using either zip or rar as compression (zip is more universal)

How/where is the background blue and how are you trying to change it? Is this your only 2 symptoms? When did this happen and what were you doing at the time it first happened? So far I dont see you giving any info of relevans.
