What's the difference betw. RDRAM & DDRAM?

    Hey anybody,

What the difference between RDRAM and DDRAM?

Is the RDRAM going to phrase out in the current market?

Any difference between a memory speed and a CPU pentium speed?

    Urgently need yr advise.
    Thanks.

RDRAM is a type of DDRAM so you question doesn't quite make sense. Lots of information here

    Don't know

Yes, simply put, the memory speed is the speed at which the memory chips can access stored data. The CPU speed is the speed at which the processor can execute instructions. They need to be balanced couple slow memory with a fast processor and the memory will slow down execution time. Couple fast memory with a slow processor and the processor will slow down execution time.

Go with DDR2, won't regret it. Crucial or Kingston or OCZ can't go wrong.

      Cyber.

RD RAM will be phased out as well as DDR RAM

        Hi Cyber,
Can you give an example of how fast really is the speed of RDRAM performance which at its maximum 800MHZ compare to 600MHZ DDR2 SDRAM?

What really distinguish both of them?
