Vista driver for an Epson ActionLaser 1500 printer

I have been looking for a driver for an old Epson ActionLaser 1500 that would work with Vista. The driver came with XP.

I spoke to an "old PC guy" who told me to try the HP LaserJet III driver in Vista.

It seems to work. The Printer Test page came out fine.

    Thanks for the info.

Does this mean that the community has a new XP/Vista expert on board?

lloos that's great, you may also try the windows xp driver. I had a similar issue with my wireless card a dlink dwl 520+ and the windows xp driver worked fine, you just have to manually point to it.

        Cyber.

yeah, also to install drivers in vista, there is this great MS tool called DPInst

dload and instlal the following framework
          http://www.microsoft.c om/whdc/driver/install/difxtools.mspx# EQB

its pretty big, but you only need a 500 kb file called DPInst.exe

after installation, drag this file from installtion folder to the folder of your posisble driver and double click....does everything for you including creating an add/remove entry in cpl
