    Printing directly onto DVD

    Anybody able to help me about making comparison between thermal printer and ink-jet printer? For DVD Thanks

    Hi. Thermal printers will print directly to the dvd without the need for a special surface or a sticky label. Ink jet printers need a special surface (which costs more money) or a sticky label. Ink jet printers can be used for other tasks such as normal office printing or photos. Thermal printers tend to be designed for just one job.

      I like the epson ink jets with waterproof ink for this. They come out very nice and it doesn't cost a lot. It does require special surface on the DVD, though (but that just makes sense).

        You cal also always get fancy and pick up a LIGHTSCRIBE CD-ROM/DVD-R

        Those look rather slick.
