Windows Media Player 11 and Vista

    Hi

I have installed Vista Ultimate on a new XP box, without setting up the Windows Media Player, I use the msdxm.ocx component in my VB 6.0 application. After installing Vista and then running Windows Media Player 11.0, the msdxm.ocx is only 4k in size and normally it is 484k, so my app doesn't player any .avi files in it. And I can't copy the old msdxm.ocx into c:\windows\syst em32 folder, does WiMP or Vista not handle this component anymore, I cannot find anything on this anywhere. Need help!!

windows vista is incompatible to visual basic 6 and most of the other programs out there. i have tried it on there and i was forced to put xp back on it, but it was worth it not to have incompatibility issues every second.
