    Tools->Options: Read tab
    You may have "read all messages as plain text" checked.

        I'm on XP Pro w/ OE, also and ran some tests. Since that box is clear, I'm wondering if you can see other types of non-text items.
        I'd try checking it, [OK] reopen options and unchecking it. After that, I'd probably remove and reinstall in control panel add/remove windows components.

                What about being able to see other types of non-text info?

                  Try to go under tools>options>s ecurity and uncheck

                  "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened..."

                  and

                  "Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail."

                  Let us know what happens.

                  Also have you installed any 3rd party antivirus/antispyware that might be blocking your links from showing. Norton and other Internet securities are know to do just that.

                  Let us know, Good Luck.

                    Hi All,

                    As you can see my last post. Yesterday I also had the same problem but I found some solutions and that works fine now. I wish that will work for you also.
                    Here is a link to a page where you can find the reliable solution:

                    http://support.microso ft.com/default.aspx?sc id=KB;EN-US;281679

                    and I had followed the below process which helped me a lot :

                    Start->Run->Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll ->Ok

                    Then restart your system. And now try to access links from you OE. Hope that will work.

                    Thanks,
                    Chittaranjan :)

                        Try this, it works for me:

                        Go to control panel, Network and Internet, Internet Options, Programs
                        check the box that says the Internet Explorer is the default program. Even if it is already checked, uncheck and check again then hit apply.
