Hi I'm thinking of building an application designed to fill a niche for aviation hobbyists.
The project is pretty modest and just standard process automation, so I don't anticipate any real technical challenges.
My main goal is to demonstrate my ability to deliver to potential employers.
I'm trying to decide between JSF and Vaadin to build the system in. With Vaadin I would be able to implement a more polished product with consumer grade visuals and largely aesthetic/usability features that would fall outside the scope of a JSF project. A JSF endeavor would demonstrate skills in a leading EE framework, something that employers would obviously look favourably upon, but I'd end up with the spartan appearance and limited usability of an enterprise application.
TLDR: Vaadin's better suited to my project, but would JavaServer Faces represent better employment opportunities?
Also if I'm missing anything with my assumptions please point it out.
