    Responsive Design Content Management Application

    Hi,

I am planning to build a web application based on responsive design so it is compatible with most devices (Desktop, laptop, tablets etc.). The application will have super admin, admin and user roles. Instead of building a CMS system ground up I was wondering if there are CMS application (joomla, Wordpress etc.) that can be used that will be compatible with responsive design. The other requirement is for it to be compatible with 3rd party forms application as the web application will also have a forms component. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

This is one of the best idea to develop the cms application which will be compatible in responsive web design. The responsive web designs are already compatible to the users, the users are more comfortable with responsive web designs compared to others. If you want to build a responsive website try to learn bootstrap. Bootstrap is just easy to understand and call the class that you want to adopt to your system design.
Heres the link where you can download bootstrap http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/, but first read about bootrap.

Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal are the powerful tools in building CMS, its up to you for what will you use, but the most popular was the Wordpress its easy to use and very handy, you may use different plugins to make your website more responsive and I assure it will meet your requirements when it comes to compatibility.
