Open source web based project tracker.

Does anyone know of a system like Codeplex.com, that keeps track of revisions, releases, etc., that is free and web based?

There are a bunch, but all of them have limitations. Sure, there is google code, sourceforge, github, etc. All are great in their own right, but me, I wanted to have my own where I wasn't restricted by the limitations of others.

I went with subversion (source control) + bugzilla (bug/issue tracking). I would suggest you find something you like and stick with it. I have played with Trac in the past and its pretty decent. It has support for cvs, svn and git as well.

          Regards,

          Jeff

I've read a lot of good things about subversion. It's pretty established. I've never used it myself though.

We're using the Team Foundations server. It's not free but it's pretty good at keeping our .NET projects organized etc.

You can review dotproject+mant is. It's good free tools to manage and track your project.
